Deal Or No Deal was one of those shows that went global really quickly. In fact - and you might have to take a seat to read this! - the show was so popular that it was made and aired in 81 countries around the world! In some countries, such was the thirst for the show, it was made in different languages. In the USA, Deal or No Deal was presented in English by Howie Mandel, whilst Vas o No Vas was aired simultaneously in Spanish, presented by Héctor Sandarti.

Deal Or No Deal was certainly a worldwide phenomenon. For a game of chance and calculated risk, it inspired a wealth of strategies from the lucky contestants who got the chance to stand on that spot and play "the boxes". And for those of us who weren’t luck enough to get the opportunity to play the game live in TV, we have the chance to play it online. Right now!

The instant you click on the Deal Or No Deal - The Banker’s Riches online game, you’re welcomed with that unmistakably tense background music, immediately transporting you into the TV studio.

The interface presents a number of options for gameplay, taking the theme of the TV show and providing you with the opportunity to play for real money.

You can win a huge progressive jackpot, and there are 3 additional bonus games that are bound to thrill, one of which gives you the opportunity to play the full TV game for real.

How To Play

This slot machine game follows the format of the famous Las Vegas one-armed bandit.

The main aim of the game is to select combinations of symbols synonymous with the TV gameshow.

All symbol combinations starts on the left reel and only one combination (the highest) is paid out per line achieved. You can bet between $0.01 and £5 on each line.

The Symbols

Each reel contains a selection of symbols associated with the gameshow.

You have...

  • the famous telephone that connected the player to the infamous, anonymous banker. This is also called the “Scatter Symbol”
  • the host’s mug bearing a question mark
  • a silhouetted banker, poised at his desk, ready to make a deal (or not!)
  • the wax letter seal that held the box shut in the TV show
  • the circular island desk, presenting the view of the other eager box holders
  • a portfolio and pen
  • a selection of letter square

How to play

The aim of the game is to achieve a winning combination of symbols in any of the 20 selectable lines of play. Winnings rely on the stake you set, per line played, and the winning combination of symbols achieved.

  1. At the bottom of the screen is the interactive play-line. This is where you control the number of lines you play, the amount you bet per line, your total stake and the amount paid out.
  2. The game defaults to 20 lines. You can adjust the number of lines you’d like to play with the arrows either side of the number of lines chosen.
  3. Using the arrows, change the amount you wish to stake (in the Bet Per Line box). You can bet a minimum of $0.01 and a maximum of $5 per line.
  4. Your “Total Stake” will automatically adjust according to the amount you are gambling per line.
  5. Alternatively, you can hit the “Max Bet” button to set the game at the maximum stake per line through all 20 lines.
  6. Click SPIN to start playing.
  7. After each spin, the "Total Stake" box reveals the amount staked per spin. The "Paid" box reveals the amount paid for the last spin.
  8. Hit “View Pay Table” function to reveal all payouts and win lines in the game so far. (You’ll also find information regarding the bonus features of the game here).

The Bonus Rounds

The bonus rounds are activated by achieving 3 or more Scatter symbols (the telephone).

There are 2 bonus features - The Reel Banker, The Banker’s Best Offer and Deal Or No Deal: The Jackpot.

The Reel Banker

  • You receive continuous free spins, until The Banker symbol appears on the centre reel
  • Wins achieved during these free spins are doubled
  • The lines played and your stake bet are decided by the game that won you The Reel Banker bonus.
  • Bonus games won’t trigger further bonus games.
  • The Banker’s Best Offer
  • You’re offered up to 10 Banker Offers, which are unique.
  • All offers are valued from 1 to 25 times the amount you staked in the game that won you the bonus.
  • The value of the offer will go up and down, in line with the gameshow.
  • You are given the option for “Deal” or “No Deal”
  • A “No Deal” is final
  • If you decline (or “No Deal”) all of The Banker’s offers, the 10th offer will stand.

Deal Or No Deal: The Jackpot

  • This gives you the opportunity to play the classic Deal Or No Deal game. The progressive jackpot is the top prize.
  • You’ll get to choose a lucky box. Then you’ll get to open the remaining boxes, one at a time, just like the gameshow.
  • The Banker will interject via telephone call with offers along the way. You’ll get the choice for “Deal” or “No Deal”.

This is exciting stuff and for anyone with a penchant for online gaming, Deal Or No Deal - The Banker’s Riches could certainly be worth some of your time. You could win, or you could lose. But isn’t that the fun of the game?

Remember that with all online gambling games, you should play responsibly. Take a break in between games to give yourself an opportunity to think rationally about the choices you make whilst you play, and don’t play with money that you can’t afford to lose!

Other than that, this is a great fun piece of online gaming with all the creativity of the TV show and the thrill of the calculated risk. Just like the show, Deal Or No Deal - The Banker’s Riches is a real combination of chance, nerve and knowing when to accept the deal from the Banker, so for fans of the TV show, this is a great fix that you return to time and time again.

Have fun.
